Dead tree removal

This beech tree had been standing dead for around 4 years, with decay fungi Meripilus and Armillaria Mellea (honey fungus). The tree posed an excessive risk of failure, and needed to be removed. The video shows the section felling of the tree. The environment, access and nature of the tree were all taken into consideration when planning the techniques used in the section fell. You can see our team using tree specific pulleys, winches and lowering techniques to remove sections of the tree.

All fire wood was left on site, and smaller branches were chipped and removed from site.
